Google in the Car: Why Automakers Are Now Turning to Android
Many automakers are now integrating Google, Amazon, or Apple much more deeply into their infotainment systems, from maps and point-of-interest searches to voice control. The reason is simple: Modern automotive software is expensive and complex and must be maintained for years—something even major corporations can no longer manage alone.
