New Tesla Cybercabs intended for the commercial robotaxi fleet have appeared in official Texas registries shortly before a launch event in Austin. This points to a larger demonstration and pilot operation, although it does not guarantee an immediate public launch.

Tesla is significantly expanding the service area of its Robotaxi service in Dallas, covering more of Downtown and additional areas in the west of the city. Unofficial estimates put the total area at around 120 km², which would be roughly 50% larger than before.

Tesla has registered 79 additional vehicles for robotaxi operations in Texas, bringing the total in registration records to 270 Model Y vehicles. At the same time, service hours have been extended to 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, while routing and vehicle distribution have been fine-tuned through software updates intended to reduce wait times.
