Bentley Sticks With the V8, While Its EV Will Remain the Only One for Now

Bentley is postponing its major battery-electric offensive: The Torcal is set to remain its only fully electric model until 2030, while the V8 will remain part of the portfolio over the long term. Bentley Torcal: The First Electric Bentley With Porsche Tech

With the Torcal, Bentley is launching its first fully electric model, drawing heavily on Volkswagen Group technology from the PPE platform, including a large 113-kWh battery and exceptionally high charging power. The key question will be how extensively Bentley calibrates the suspension, steering and sound experience to meet its own luxury standards and distinguish the Torcal from its technically related Porsche counterpart.
